Directed by Camcorder Guerillas member Inigo Garrido, On the Other Side of the Street tells the story of Robert Bratton, a homeless person from Glasgow, taking the audience on a journey to challenge public misconceptions about the nature of homelessness and of the people who are homeless.

Homeless people interviewed in the film

He interviews politicians and experts to find out the ‘official view’, but also adventures onto the other side of the street to hear from those who know best about life in the street - the homeless themselves.

In memory of Maggie

The film is in memory of Maggie McComb, a homeless woman of 32 years of age, who features in the film. She died of an overdose of heroin on 17 September 2004 - the day before the film premiere at the Document 2 Film Festival.
